Ray La Montagne

This is who I went to see with the paramour last night in the Olympia. What a bloody voice. He's small and slender and really shy with a tiny soft speaking voice, but when he sings...oh my. This was one of his encores.

Lamontagne is simply amazing.

The quietest man you'll ever speak to, and the best singing voice on a singer songwriter this side of 1967.

Yeah, I noticed that last night, He'd come up to the mike and whisper 'thank you' , but then when he sang...ooof, I had good bumps when he sang 'Burn' and the hair at the nape of my neck prickled. What a beautiful song.

Funny - never heard of him until recently. My sister loaned me a disk of his, and I didn't even listen to it until the weekend.

I suspect I'll have to listen to it a few more times to fully appreciate it. But early signs are very good.

He's really really very good indeed. He was terrific last night and the Olympia is a small enough venue to really appreciate that kind of concert.
